Where are you based?

We are proudly from Penwortham in Lancashire, a small town in South Ribble on the edge of Preston, hence the name, ‘Penwortham’s Original’. Our small scale distillery is a five minute drive from our home address in Penwortham and is located on the outskirts of Leyland.

Can I visit your distillery?

We currently can’t offer any members of the public to come and visit our distillery. If you are looking to collect an order then please email sales@no1fairhamgin.com with your order number and we will be able to help.

Do you ship international?

We currently only offer delivery to the UK Mainland (including Channel Islands and Scottish Highlands) and hope to change this in the future!

Who makes your gin?

Our gin is truly handcrafted by Ellis and Liam in our small distillery in Lancashire. Everything is produced in-house, with our craft gin being made in a traditional copper pot 60ltr still.

What does No.1 Fairham Gin mean?

Our brand is named after our home on Fairham Avenue in Penwortham. This is the place where our brand and gin was born, with our initial distilling and Signature Edition recipe creation taking place in our outhouse before we moved into our unit.

Why is my gin cloudy?

We cut out the chill filtration stage during our distillation process, meaning that you will notice a pearlescent haze when our Signature Edition is chilled. We do this so you can enjoy every flavour that our gin has to offer.

How strong is your gin?

Our Signature Edition gin stands at 45% ABV.

What is 100% vapour infusion?

The method of 100% vapour infusion means that no botanicals touch the base alcohol during distilling. When the alcohol is heated up in the belly of the still, the vapour then passes through the botanicals and fruits in the column infusing all the flavours together. We use this process because it gives a smooth profile and keeps the freshness of the ingredients in our craft gin.

Do you have an allergen list?

Our Signature Edition recipe is a ginny secret so we can’t give too much away! But one of the most common allergies for gin is grapefruit, which is an ingredient used at our distillery. If you have any specific allergies that you may be concerned about then please let us know via email at sales@no1fairhamgin.com with a description of your allergy.

What is the shelf life of your gin?

Despite technically not having a shelf life, we recommend that our craft gin should be consumed within 12 months of purchase.. if it lasts that long!

Whilst a distilled gin will keep indefinitely in the right conditions (specifically, stored air-sealed in a cool, dark place); infused, natural flavours may start to fade a little over extended periods of time. Storing in a cool, dark place, particularly away from direct sunlight or sources of heat will help to preserve the wonderful flavours of No.1 Fairham Gin.
