Role: Bar Assistant
Position: Part-Time / Variable Hours (Minimum 18 hours)
Location: Penwortham, PR1 0AD.
Hourly Pay: Up to £11 ph.
About Us
Fairham Distillery was founded in 2020 by us, Ellis and Liam, and we have since gone on to become a multi-award-winning craft gin distillery. As of 2023, we added Fairham’s Bar to our portfolio, with an opening date of early May 2023. The bar will boast an array of craft spirits, including Fairham Gin, and will also serve draught, wine, cocktails, tasting boards and 0% alcohol/soft drinks.
The craft bar is located on the popular high-street of Liverpool Road in Penwortham, and sits in between Craft and Crust and Gin Jar Ale, opposite the Tesco store.

We are looking for a highly motivated person whose enthusiasm and passion shines through and can be recognised by each customer.
The role of Bar Assistant is for someone who can provide excellent customer service, has genuine knowledge of each product served and holds relevant experience within the industry.
You will be working shifts through Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a guaranteed minimum of 18 hours contracted per week (with the expectation of working more hours). You must be able to work evenings and weekends, as well as bank holidays when requested.
Responsibilities
- Product knowledge, bartending and cocktail mixing
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Assisting customers with requests and enquiries
- Cash handling and processing card transactions
Key skills & requirements
- Must be 18 and over to apply
- Required to work evenings and weekends
- Exceptional customers service and communication skills
- Attentive, outgoing and highly organised
- Bar experience desirable
