liam goes full-time at fairham distillery

Liam Stemson Fairham Distillery Fairham's Bar Penwortham

Three years on since starting the Fairham journey, we are delighted to announce that our co-founder and distiller, Liam Stemson, now joins the business as a full-time employee.

Liam now fully immerses himself into the daily life of Fairham after a career spanning six years in sales. This news comes as Fairham Distillery has recently expanded its portfolio with Fairham’s Bar in Penwortham, a craft bar that offers tasting boards, craft sprits from across the UK and beyond, cocktails, lager, wine and much more.

Since starting in their outhouse on Fairham Avenue in March 2020, Liam and Ellis have grown the Fairham brand with multi-award-winning gin Editions, starting with the launch of Signature Edition in April 2021. Now, with Liam joining Ellis as a full-time employee, the pair can now take the journey to the next level and put all their efforts into growing their distillery.

Leaving his role at Pulsar Computing after six years of service at the Bolton-based company, Liam has called time on his sales role to focus all his efforts on Fairham Gin, the Distillery and Fairham’s Bar.

Liam says, “Last Friday marked my last day at Pulsar Computing and after six amazing years working with the best people, it is now my time to fully immerse myself in the business I co-founded back in 2020. Deciding to leave Pulsar was a hard choice to make, but it is ultimately the right choice in order to grow and push our business to the next level! I will be focusing all my time and effort on being Co-founder and Distiller at Fairham Distillery.”

For the last two years since launching their first product, Ellis and Liam have both been in full-time 9-5 jobs, with Fairham Gin priorities coming of an evening, on lunch breaks and at the weekends. If you’re a keen follower of Fairham Gin you will know of our regular busy weekend markets schedule across the North West and the often tiring distilling evenings that comes with running an award-winning distillery.

Liam continues, “From our outbuilding on Fairham Avenue to recently opening our second premise, Fairham’s Bar in Penwortham, the journey me and Ellis have been on in the last three years has been absolutely crazy! We have experienced and done so much already, and I am very proud with what we have achieved so far. I am more than excited and ready to give it the full attention that our small business deserves.”

At Fairham Distillery, we are both excited to now give our all for the brand that we have built from the ground up and we can’t wait to see our small business go from strength to strength. Keep updated by signing up to our newsletter and following us on social media, and join us in celebrating Liam and this milestone for Fairham Distillery.
