Well, what a year it has been for No.1 Fairham Gin. We’re now officially a multi-award-winning Lancashire gin distillery after picking up several awards for both of our Editions during the 2022 awards season.
April 2021 marked the launch of our Signature Edition after 12 months of recipe development. From starting in our outhouse at our address in Penwortham, Preston, with a 3ltr copper still to then moving into our first home at a small unit space with a 60ltr copper still, we’ve been on quite a journey so far!

Our Editions boast a contemporary take on a traditional dry gin, with both being vapour infused, non-chill filtered and standing at an impressively tasty 45% ABV. Signature is our take on a London Dry Gin, with a juniper-forward base that is complimented with exotic citrus notes that are fresh and crisp on taste. Ochre Edition is an expression of a spiced orange gin, with the juniper more tarty in this one, followed by fresh orange, sweet clementine and a subtle finishing warmth from spices that include cinnamon, nutmeg, clove and ginger.
At the end of 2021 we decided to enter our Dry Lancashire Gins into a select number of awards. This was to gain recognition from industry-leading experts and to also reassure ourselves that we are on the right track with our modern expressions.

As we go into year two as a distillery, we’re now even more keen and confident to explore our craft in gin distilling. We will always stand by the viewpoint of putting the juniper first, using botanicals to enhance it rather than overshadowing it, and making expressions that are unique to us and our brand.
