Say hello to the newest member of the No.1 Fairham Gin family: Ochre Edition. A juniper-forward Dry Lancashire Gin that is complimented with fresh orange and clementine notes, accompanied by subtle warming spices.
Our second release as a distillery is a fine example of what we are all about. This recipe was created from the ground up with the aim to enhance the gin, the juniper, rather than becoming it. We have used fresh orange and clementine to bring forward their sweet, tangy flavours and added in Autumnal spices to give the backend of the gin a warm lift. Cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg marry beautifully with the zesty notes, giving you the full-bodied flavour that you come to expect in a No.1 Fairham Gin bottle.
Even though the recipe is completely different from our Signature Edition, there is a notable resemblance between the two. We see our Ochre Edition as well established member of the family: full of natural flavour, vapour infused, non-chill filtered, and most importantly, a GIN.
Orange, spice and all things nice, our Ochre Edition has its own style. Pronounced “ow·kuh” Edition, the burnt orange colour of our band and compostable neck label represent the earthy yet vibrant citrus notes that you will get from the gin. The botanicals and fruits used to create the Edition are shown in the illustration that sits with the main front logo and is also present on the inside band, synonymous with our Signature Edition.
We know you can’t WAIT to get your hands on our new craft gin, but we’ve got a good reason as to why we’re making you wait! As you know, our Signature Edition was launched on the back of multiple lockdowns and everything else that Covid-19 brought along. So, to celebrate the release of our Ochre Edition, we are holding a launch event in Penwortham, Lancashire, on the evening of Saturday 20th November. Details of the event will be released in due course across social media and via our newsletter, but this is going to be an evening not to be missed. You will be the first to taste our new Edition, hear from both us (Ellis and Liam) as we talk you through our journey of getting to this point and of course, enjoy a celebratory evening in the heart of our home town.
